TC structure

#1 Postby weatherwindow » Sat Aug 24, 2013 5:52 pm

Good evening, everyone...I have several questions concerning TC structure: 1) Typically, what is the difference between the ambient basin pressure and that of the outermost closed isobar of a TC?(ie, if the basin pressure is 1019mb, what will be the likely pressure enclosed by the outermost isobar ) 2)Is the width or thickness, radially, of the eyewall totally random or is it a function of some cyclone parameter? 3) How wide is the "typical" eyewall(if typical is a valid concept here)?...Thanks for your kind assistance....Grtz from KW, Rich
