Yup. We might end up spending even more time on this thing than on 99L/09L.

20+ pages while still over land is probably about the same as the 200 with TD #9/99L. I'm going to casually watch for a week or so and see where we're at.

A weak area of low pressure, associated with a tropical wave, is
moving off the coast of Senegal in western Africa. Environmental
conditions are expected to be favorable for gradual development of
this system later this week while it moves westward at 15 to 20 mph
over the eastern and central tropical Atlantic.
* Formation chance through 48 hours...low...near 0 percent
* Formation chance through 5 days...medium...50 percent

The question is: Will this be Hermine, Ian, or Julia? None of the above? :lol:

I have a feeling this will be a powerful one. Except I wish it was named Ian because it sounds stronger than Julia... even though the last Julia was a Cat 4. :P

I have a niece named Julia and a nephew, Ian. If storm is anything like kid, this needs to be Ian!

Let's see if this one can develop without struggles and delays, as many systems have had this year.

I'm already betting no development before 60W--anybody else think we're in for a 99L part 2 given the model output?

Nah, GFS and Euro and their ensembles both develop this at the same time unlike 99L. I give it 50W.
