BULLETIN FOR CYCLONIC ACTIVITY AND SIGNIFICANT TROPICAL WEATHER IN
THE SOUTHWEST INDIAN OCEAN
DATE: 2019/03/11 AT 1200 UTC
TROPICAL WEATHER DISCUSSION:
The monsoon flow remains well established over our basin. A low-level vortex is visible East of
Madagascar, with no associated convection due to a very dry and stable air mass. A monsoon trough
is established East of 65E along 12S and concentrate a moderate convective activity with no suspect
area.
Between 60E and 75E, a wide anti-clockwise circulation is visible with a circulation center loacted
near 2S. The V850 filtering maps are analysing this anomaly as an active mised Rossby-Gravity
wave.
Development of another tropical storm is not expected for the next 5 days.
