AT 35 MPH. IT IS BEING ABSORBED BY AN EXTRATROPICAL CYCLONE TO

STORM TOTAL ACCUMULATIONS OF 1 TO 3 INCHES WITH LOCALLY HIGHER
AMOUNTS CAN BE EXPECTED IN THE SOUTHERN GREAT LAKES TO NORTHERN
NEW ENGLAND OVER THE NEXT 24 HOURS AS THIS SYSTEM PROPAGATES
NORTHEASTWARD.

REPEATING THE 11 AM EDT POSITION...42.0 NORTH...78.3 WEST...

Sayonara Katrina. I know I will never see you again. You left a lot of death and destruction wherever you went. I hope that people heed the warnings for your brothers and sisters to come.

Caned-out after Katrina/Rita/Gustav/Ike/Isaac...only occasionally tracking storms now.

Katrina's not quite gone yet, she's still dumping quite a bit of rain on the Great Lakes region, but yeah, when she IS gone, good riddance.

Well, the Sun is shining brightly in Grand Rapids, Michigan, but I know what you mean. She's in the EASTERN part of the Great Lakes.

Anyway, hopefully Kelly (or whatever name replaces her, but that's my pick) is a fish in 2011.

Katrina now truly dead:

...All flood and flash flood watches associated with Katrina have
been discontinued in New England and the rest of the northeast...

At 11 PM EDT...03z...the remnants of Katrina have been absorbed
into a frontal boundary in southeastern Canada and a circulation
is no longer discernable.

propagates northeastward.
