I doubt it. While it is possible, it would have to move more westward, out of the shear, and into warm waters. The environment might let it move more westward, but it should ultimately head northward and out of sight.

If the GFDL is right I'll eat my hat...but it is yet another example of the GFDL forecasting intensification for any suste it doesn't drop in 18 hours.

The more I see stuff like this...the more I thing the GFDL was right on with Charley due to the GFDL AIEP.

GFDL AIEP is the GFDL Always Intensify Everything Parameter.

Well she has to become a tropical storm again first.

Unless she turns west, it won't happen(the hurricane), the tropical storm doesn't seem very likely either.
