Can we sticky this for our friends that may see conditions from Bill as he travels closer to land, as well as the affects on Bermuda?

Well, its starting to get exciting around here already. As we don't get many storms in these parts, everyone is rushing to the shore line to check out the waves which at this point are comming in pretty fast and furious. The clouds have already darkened an otherwise bright blue sky and huge raindrops are starting to fall. The news crew had their cameras set up on the shore and after one bigger than normal wave re-thank things and moved closer to land LOL. Will keep you updated as long as I can until the power goes out which will prob be very soon as Nova Scotia power is not the greatest in these parts, one small breeze and you can be without power for hours LOL.

Here is where a LOT of obs are going to be coming from, and I will be watching the buoys off the coast, in the sounds, and a few land stations to see what all they get in the NE:

And obs from Canadian buoys off of Nova Scoti:

I've been using this site: http://www.weatheroffice.gc.ca/forecast/canada/index_e.html?id=NS to check weather observations around Nova Scotia. We have cousins who live on Cape Breton, so we're watching to see how much that area is affected. It's not too bad right now (gusts to around 21 mph around Port Hawkesbury/Tracadie). Here's hoping it stays off shore!

Hey guys! Reporting from Yarmouth, NS. We basically got next to nothing from Bill, some rain and wind this morning, but around 1:00 it cleared up and became nice and sunny. Not much damage from what I have heard, a couple flooded basements and a few short power outages, but overall nothing at all severe. Got some nice pics of the waves though - they were huge, some of the biggest I've ever seen.

Hi, Reporting from East Coast, NS.... Just East of Halifax.

Rain has ended, but the winds seem to have picked up and are stronger than when it was raining... reports of gusts to 80-90/kmh... nothing too significant...

This is a timelapse video from Peggy's cove... if you have ever been there.. pretty impressive..

Unfortunately some people don't listen to the local officials warnings.

Wow! Thanks for sharing that link. Those are some impressive waves! I'm assuming the restaurant there was closed today.
