Re: TROPICAL STORM ERIKA: Threat Area: Leeward Islands, PR
thanks for starting this thread
so far so good here in St. Maarten
we did get some rain earlier this morning. first of Erika's feeder bands I imagine.
here is a web cam which might help show some of the weather which I assume will start deteriorating later today.

we'll keep updating as the day goes on.

Barb, Seeing the picture of St. Maarten brought a lump to my throat. As I mentioned in the tent, normally we would be there for this fun time of year but circumstances conspired against us this year. Please be safe and know I am thinking about all of you. Will be anxious to read your observations, etc.

All quiet here in Barbados. Still a brisk breeze prevails out of the south and the sea on the south coast is very choppy with loads of white caps. Lets see if this lady will get herself back together and pack another punch. Stay safe people

Nothing happening preparationwise here by the goverment. They are waiting for the 5 PM advisory to see if we get a TS watch to then start the preparations for a big rain event, unless this system somehow gets its act together and ramp up the winds.

Just sailed in from St. Thomas (to Culebra). Wind was good, seas rough but fine, sunny most of the way. Have been watching the weather and glad to be home so the cat can be inside if it gets...strange
. I think Erica is working hard at being rather difficult to pin down...
It's sunny with a slight breeze. Mainly hot.

Rain just came in, moderate to heavy.
Hubby is with the dog down at the south coast at Playa Grande. They appear to be getting it hard there.

Nice lightening and thunder now.
