Barb, Seeing the picture of St. Maarten brought a lump to my throat. As I mentioned in the tent, normally we would be there for this fun time of year but circumstances conspired against us this year. Please be safe and know I am thinking about all of you. Will be anxious to read your observations, etc.

Nothing happening preparationwise here by the goverment. They are waiting for the 5 PM advisory to see if we get a TS watch to then start the preparations for a big rain event, unless this system somehow gets its act together and ramp up the winds.

Just sailed in from St. Thomas (to Culebra). Wind was good, seas rough but fine, sunny most of the way. Have been watching the weather and glad to be home so the cat can be inside if it gets...strange 8-) . I think Erica is working hard at being rather difficult to pin down...

It's sunny with a slight breeze. Mainly hot.

Rain just came in, moderate to heavy.

Hubby is with the dog down at the south coast at Playa Grande. They appear to be getting it hard there.

To follow rainfall totals here at the house go to our website http://www.playacofi.com/weather. It automatically updates every 15 minutes.

Nice lightening and thunder now.
