A waterspout came onshore at Gulfport (south end of St. Pete). It did some damage there. Nothing too bad reported so far. My daughter closes on a home next week about six blocks fro the damage.

they haven't found it yet. Gonna help here in just a bit. Will let you know. I am just hoping this second band doesn't make it around this way again.

Me too, especially now that I'm in Eastern PBC at work and can't be home if it did get bad out west.

Any State, County Office or School Closings?

#31 Postby seaswing » Thu Jun 06, 2013 10:52 am

I work at UF, and we are in the TS warning area. No closing here. I talked to a colleague in Tallahassee at FDEP and they are working as well. I remember a few years ago we were closed for TS Bonnie but not Andrea. I'm just wondering why?

Waterspout/tornado damage in Gulfport is shown HERE. They are still adding photos. It's more extensive than originally though, but NO INJURIES reported.

They have finally shut the Skyway bridge down....

Very quiet here in eastern Martin County; a little drizzly and a little breezy (both highly technical meteorological terms - LOL).

Stay safe everyone.

Maybe because the timing of the TS force winds is later? Generally I would say sustained TS winds is when to close.

Now getting some pretty strong gusts, first time really since Andrea starting moving toward Big Bend. Rain off and on. Barometer at 29.60 right now, very low.
