How close to the coast are they able to fly? I see possible low cloud inflow from the west but SW of where the plane is fairly close to shore.

starting to think this will never be called a TS as recon is finding southeasterly winds where there should be south westerly winds

That's fine, but if the web site is getting hammered (like I think Tropical Tidbits is getting right now), then noone will be able to see them.

That's what I think has been happening because a bunch of images posted on here showed up as broken image links, so I deleted them.

They still have it dissipating after 48 hours. It doesn't survive 72 hours to have anything plotted on the map.


Good point. I should have checked, I did not know they had an advisory. Trying to get used to this new potential cyclone classification. Its small size is a major problem in dealing with the shear. It won't last long.

On the GOES 15 visible loop you can really see this ramping up, typical curved bands firing and rotating around now.

That's fine, but if the web site is getting hammered (like I think Tropical Tidbits is getting right now), then noone will be able to see them.

That's what I think has been happening because a bunch of images posted on here showed up as broken image links, so I deleted them.


Ok, the links I am using are working fine, so as long as they work I'll keep using them

Winds look to be 45 kt based on the Recon data. Could it make a run at hurricane status before the shear destroys it?
