My thoughts are with those in Puerto Rico and others impacted by this storm. As much as I love following weather, what a sad year for those experiencing these
powerful storms.

My question is does having a larger eye help or hurt her chances of maintaining strength and structure while traveling over land (Puerto Rico)?

Help. A small eye wall would easily be messed up compared to a larger eye.

Eye has really improved last few frames of radar, closing off an intense band and contracting still. Inner eye basically gone.

Supposedly?! The Cat 4 winds are larger now than the Cat 3 winds were when it was at its peak max winds correct?

No, that is the NWS forecast for peak wind speed and gusts. That is not an observation.

Is there even an anemometer in existence that could survive a 201mph wind gust?

Tightening up because of the friction of land. This thing will probably strengthen a little as it moves ashore.
