Looks like the CoC is quickly moving to the ENE toward that anti-cyclone.
I am not usually critical, but they should have gotten Recon in there.

No surprise on the tightening. Everybody knows about the West and NW Gulf by now. Mildly surprised that the NHC is calling for a TS.

Re: ATL: ELEVEN - Tropical Depression - Discussion
Man, there has been a lot on conflicting info floating around, from it moving due north, to N-NE, to even N-NW. The NAM is concerning because it puts 35" over almost the entire Houston area, but so far the concentrated rainfall amounts are to our east.

Based on radar I'd be surprised if this system isn't inland before 5pm EDT.

My posts are my own personal opinion, defer to the National Hurricane Center (NHC) and other NOAA products for decision making during hurricane season.

Re: ATL: INVEST 98L - Discussion
If the NHC track verifies (and I would bet on them) then the Houston area will indeed be at risk for a core event, similar to what yesterday’s models were showing after all....and I will retract my comments from this morning.

Props to the ICON model it showed this early last week
when everyone understandably was focused on
Humberto forming.
