Trying to catch up. Will there be much of a storm surge in the Gulf Shores, Alabama area?

Wasn't the last one close to 985 while this one is closer to 982? Not that much of a difference though

The palm trees are showing about a 10 knot increase in steady wind speed at the Grand Park Royal on Cozumel since this morning.

Might’ve leveled off to be able to consolidate more and develop healthier features like the eye it’s starting to develop now. The stronger they eye becomes before landfall they less it will weaken overland.. gulp..

First time checking in 6 hours and what do I find? That the Western Caribbean strikes again... Welp, at least it waited until pretty close to landfall to get going

The last two NOAA flights have had data that wasn't displaying well on Tidbits.

The NOAA2 is having good signal (Unless I spoke too soon! )

Watching the low, mid and upper level water vapor loops it appears that as of now the dry air in the gulf is retreating as a result of the outflow NW-NE of Zeta about the same rate as Zeta is moving. At least it appears that way.

According to a tweet I read earlier,2020 is currently tied with 2002 with 4 Louisiana landfalls.

Looking like about 3-4 ft that far east. Southerly winds 25-30 kts will bring the tides up on Wednesday. Could be on the outer perimeter of 35 kt winds.

You may get some of the cold we have up in Dallas later tomorrow, no sleet but sure has some rain and a nip in the air.
