Google led me here. It's pretty much my home on the web during hurricane season. Thanks to all for all you contribute and share. I've learned and continue to learn alot here.

Google led me here a while back... I was a lurker for a couple of hurricane seasons, and learned a lot from reading the amateurs and pro mets... thought I should join after reading the invite in the Guests thread.

During Charley, Ivan, Frances & Jeanne - I found it doing a search for "weather forum". I live in Fort Pierce, within 10 miles of where Francis & Jeanne hit - during Francis, our septic tank alarm box fell into my raised garden...it was full of water when we were boarding up for Jeanne - you know that mad dash when the storm is gonna hit in 36 hours or less - my kids wanted to wash my car, (yes, anything! stay busy while us grownups freak out and board UP) When I stepped into the garden and touched the handle on the water, I was thrown about 10 feet...it was bad. I just got up and went back to prep...didn't realize how bad I was hurt till the storm was over...Couldn't say the name of things...like "purse" was "bookbag"....I had burns up the insides of my legs, could not speak properly for almost 4 months. Minor brain damage from the shock - I had to quit my job, didn't work for almost 2 years. Thankfully I'm (almost) back to normal... :double:

Don't remember what search I used but was looking for hurricane discussions. I have a place on Seabrook Island but live in Ohio and like to keep pretty close tabs on those EC storms.

It was during the beginning of the 2004 season. (Yes, I live in FL.) I googled "spaghetti models." The rest is history. 8-)

I googled "spaghetti models." We had just moved to the Gulf Coast. I am a coop observer and I wanted as much information as I could get. I got that and a lot more!! Great information here...and a lot of learning!! Keep up the great work!!

Wow, I know it was along time ago now, when the site first started, I think I was on another storm board and someone recommended I check this one out. I am so happy I did and have never left this site since...Thanks for the years of information and lessons. :double:
