Ahmadinejad=No one would dare attack Iran

What does he is talking about? Irak defeated Iran in that 8 year war they had.

http://www.foxnews.com/world/2010/04/18 ... 263023253/

TEHRAN, Iran - President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad on Sunday extolled Iran's military might during an annual army parade, saying the country is so powerful today that no one would dare attack it.

Iran makes deal with Brazil / Turkey to swap nuclear material

Will this deal calm the fears that Iran is building a nuclear bomb? I guess time will tell.

TEHRAN - Iran, Brazil and Turkey signed an agreement on Monday over a nuclear fuel swap designed to allay international concern over the Islamic Republic's atomic ambitions.

Iran said it had agreed to swap 2,646 lb of its low-enriched uranium for higher-enriched nuclear fuel, to be used in a medical research reactor. The exchange would take place in Turkey, Foreign Ministry spokesman Ramin Mehmanparast said.

Quoting the text of the accord, the CNN Turk news channel reported that Iran will send uranium to Turkey in one month.

I'd like to see the definition of a "medical research reactor".

U.N Security Council approves Sanctions against Iran

Will they work is the big question.

http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/37575561/ns ... tn_africa/

UNITED NATIONS - The U.N. Security Council on Wednesday approved new sanctions against Iran over its suspect nuclear program that target Iran's powerful Revolutionary Guard, ballistic missiles and nuclear-related investments.

The resolution imposing a fourth round of sanctions against Iran was approved by a vote of 12-2 with Lebanon abstaining and Brazil and Turkey voting "no."

Turkey and Brazil, both non-permanent council members, brokered a fuel-swap agreement with Iran which they hoped would address concerns Tehran may be enriching uranium for nuclear weapons and avoid new sanctions.

Iran in talks with World Powers in Geneva

Is about time that this very long Iran nuclear standoff is resolved one way or another.

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-middle-east-11923194

Iran and key world powers have begun talks in the Swiss city of Geneva on Tehran's disputed nuclear programme.

These are the first such talks in more than a year, although analysts say any breakthrough is unlikely.

On Sunday Iran said it had delivered its first domestically produced raw uranium and would now go into the talks with "strength and power".

Western powers fear Iran may be trying to produce nuclear arms, but Tehran says its program is purely peaceful.

Cyber Attack to Nuclear Sites

No need to fly planes to bomb those Iran Nuclear sites as a big worm has infiltrated the centrifuges and other parts of the complex causing it to slow or to even stop the production.

I would warn them that if they build nuclear weapons and it is for sure proof, that they would be bombed. We don't need WWIII, but with the UN against 1 nation, I'm not thinking it will be much of a war. Senseless all of this is. Lets just be in peace, but that apparently never going to happen after more than 10,000 years of humans with hate.

After a quiet period of not having things occuring with this standoff, things are heating up bigtime as Israel is considering an attack to Iran's nuclear plants. Hopefully, that does not occur and cooler heads prevail because it would have a ripple effect in the middle east with negative reaction in the Arab world and of course, the rise of oil prices.

There is supposed to be a report released by the IAEA next week, and speculation has it that this report will show that Iran is going after the bomb.

Also, was watching a news show on one of the local channels and they stated that there is only about 12 months left before a large number of the centrifuges in Iran get moved into either underground bunkers or out of Israel's strike range.

Israeli President Shimon Peres warned on Sunday that an attack on Iran is becoming increasingly likely, days before a report by the UN's nuclear watchdog on Iran's nuclear programme is due.

"The possibility of a military attack against Iran is now closer to being applied than the application of a diplomatic option," Peres told the Israel Hayom daily.

"We must stay calm and resist pressure so that we can consider every alternative," he added.

"I don't think that any decision has already been made, but there is an impression that Iran is getting closer to nuclear weapons."

His comments came after he warned in an interview aired by Israel's privately-owned Channel Two television on Saturday that an attack on Iran was becoming "more and more likely."

:uarrow: Prepare for $150 a barrel of oil and $5 a gallon of gas. :double:

But I question why they are telling them about a possible attack? The Iranians will now be more prepared to deal with an attack. These things have to be kept quiet to surprise the enemy.

Iran has been helped to construct the bomb by these foes. :grr:

Pakistan, North Korea and a former weapons scientist from the Soviet Union reportedly all helped Iran with its nuclear weapons quest, according to an impending U.N. nuclear watchdog report expected to show the Islamic regime has mastered the science of building a bomb.

Russia warns against Israeli attack on Iran

Russia’s foreign minister Sergei Lavov has warned that a military strike on Iran would be a “very serious mistake” with “unpredictable consequences”, after Israel’s president Shimon Peres said that an attack was increasingly likely.

UN Report on Iran Nuclear program says that country is working on them

VIENNA — Iran is suspected of conducting secret experiments whose sole purpose can only be the development of nuclear weapons, the U.N. nuclear atomic energy agency said in a report Tuesday.

..While some of the suspected secret nuclear work can have peaceful purposes, "others are specific to nuclear weapons," according to the report by the Vienna-based International Atomic Energy Agency.

A 13-page attachment to the report details intelligence and IAEA research that shows Tehran working on all aspects of research toward making a nuclear weapon, including fitting a warhead onto a missile.

"Iran," the report added, "has carried out the following activities that are relevant to the development of a nuclear explosive device:

•"Efforts, some successful, to procure nuclear related and dual use equipment and materials by military related individuals and entities;
•"Efforts to develop undeclared pathways for the production of nuclear material;
•"The acquisition of nuclear weapons development information and documentation from a clandestine nuclear supply network; and
•"Work on the development of an indigenous design of a nuclear weapon including the testing of components."

It would be a big fail for the international community and their sanctions... it just doesnt work...
if iran does get nukes I suppose Saoudi Arabia also gets them to balance the middle east once more.
