I think it is time to bring out the stove! In the 30s here, and we saw our first snow showers on Halloween. The locals were saying it is the first time they haven't had an accumulating snow before Halloween in many, many years.

Thanks for opening up the porch Mama. I was going to and got waylaid before I could get to it. Are there any outdoor AC units available? I don't think ceiling fans are going to make it cool enough to use, at least not in our area. While I'm here I'm going to grab a whole pitcher of that lemonade though. :cheesy:

:cheesy: :cheesy: Oh how I do remember. I thought I was going to melt some days!! BTW, I brought back a full pitcher of lemonade since I took one yesterday. Happy Father's Day to all the fathers. I'm looking forward to a great day with family. I praise the Lord they are nearby and I can enjoy time with them.

Hope you had a wonderful Father's Day!

I brought some iced tea to share, a large bowl, box fan and a cooler of ice. :)
Here's your A/C. Just set that fan in front of a big ol bowl of ice cubes and you will have the same A/C I had when growing up. Thanks Granny! (God bless your soul and may you be resting in eternal peace)

Thanks to Dizzy and her Granny I am sitting here cool and refreshed reminiscing about the great fathers day I had yesterday. I also turn my head skyward looking at puffier and darker clouds than I have seen in a long time here in Houston. Could there be rain??

Hope you got some rain David and I know you had a great Father's Day. I really miss hanging out on the front porch.

I remember when I was a kid and it got hot we would pile into our un-air conditioned car, roll down the windows and go for a ride in the country ending the ride at a stop at the root beer stand for a frosty mug of root beer.

I brought more ice for the bowl. I remember doing that too. lol

I so totally enjoyed all that cloud cover yesterday. It was a bit humid though.

Dropping off a new treat for y'all... cake balls! Cake and icing rolled into balls and dipped in chocolate. Yum!
