Egg-laying developed amoung animals before the modern chicken developed. So, I choose egg.

Without the chicken, there can be no egg...without the egg, there can be no chicken. A bit of a conundrum, isn't it?

My first thought was "chicken", but it doesn't take a "chicken" to lay the egg that becomes the first "chicken". Therefore, the egg - which leads to the first "chicken" (containing all the chicken DNA) must have come first.

It is obvious....the egg came first. The chicken is a mutant that developed in an egg that was exposed to radiation, kinka like godzilla.

In the biblical context I'd say the chicken.
