Can you find the Funny Forecast

#1 Postby lrak » Tue Jun 23, 2015 8:13 am

From CC TX Today

SHORT TERM (TODAY AND WEDNESDAY)...PERIOD BEGINS WITH HIGH
PRESSURE OVER THE NORTH-CENTRAL GULF OF MEXICO AND MID LEVEL
TROUGH OVER NE MEXICO AND SOUTHWEST TX. OVER THE NEXT 36 HOURS
THIS TROUGH IS PROGD TO RETROGRADE WESTWARD ALLOWING THE PERIPHERY
OFA MID LEVEL RIDGE CURRENTLY LOCATED OVER THE SRN PLAINS AND
ROCKY MOUNTAIN WEST TO SHIFT ESE AND EDGE INTO SOUTH TEXAS. A
REGION OF NEGATIVE VORTICITY ADVECTION WILL CRAP AROUND THE
SOUTHERN EDGE OF THE RIDGE FROM EAST TO WEST TODAY THROUGH
TONIGHT. MOISTURE DEPTH WILL ALSO DECREASE DURING THIS TIME
PERIOD. BY WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON A VIGOROUS SHORTWAVE THROUGH WILL
COME OUT OF THE SE..BRINGING WITH IT ANOTHER SLUG OF MOISTURE
EXPECTED TO INCREASE POPS WEDNESDAY...PARTICULARLY OVER THE
SOUTHERN MARINE ZONES. HIGHS SHOULD BE A COUPLE DEGREES WARMER
TODAY THAN YESTERDAY...THAN THE PAST COUPLE OF DAYS DUE TO
DECREASED CLOUD COVER...WITH THE SAME HOLDING TRUE FOR THE THE RIO
GRANDE PLAINS TOMORROW. THE PREVIOUS FORECAST PACKAGE LOOKS MORE
OR LESS IN LINE WITH MY THINKING...SO NO MAJOR CHANGES MADE WITH
THE EXCEPTION OF SOME MINOR QPF TWEAKS.
