N Korea warns of pre-emptive strike

#1 Postby bfez1 » Thu Feb 06, 2003 4:19 pm

Feb. 6 - North Korea could launch pre-emptive strikes against U.S. forces rather than wait for an American attack after a war with Iraq, a spokesman for the nation told a British daily newspaper on Thursday. In response, White House spokesman Ari Fleischer said the United States was ready to deal with any contingencies; involving North Korea.

I know there is nothing I can do to change things but I am really getting anxious over all of this turmoil.

It is quite unsetteling. I had to try explain to my son why all the soldiers were on TV going to fight. He said "mommy it's not nice to fight is it, isnt it better to talk about it"

I realy do believe prayer, earnest prayer is called for at the moment about the worlds situation.

It is to bad that there aren't children of high powered leaders all over the world telling their parents the same thing. But I guess if they were receptive to a child saying something like that, then we would not be where we are now. :(

That's why North Korea is SO adamant about the U.S. signing a "non-aggression" treaty with them "immediately if not sooner"...they don't want to face US if they get "ambitious" enough to aggress elsewhere at their leisure, which is why we will NOT sign away the security of the Far East in doing so.

And let's not think we don't have a few well-placed Los Angeles-class subs in strategic locations in and around the South China Sea, just in case...
