I am in no way a professional. Take what I say with a grain of salt as I could be totally wrong. Please refer to the NHC, NWS, or SPC for official information.

Congrats man!! I almost did meteorology but decided to do accounting. Stay away from alcohol and do not treat it like high school, treat it like a job! I learned that lesson the hard way

Congratulations! Have you considered what you would want to do as far as a job after you get your degree? There is always the NWS, for which a masters degree may not be needed. Working for a private weather company, as I do, may require an advanced degree. What type of forecaster would you want to be? Airlines hire aviation meteorologists, whose job is to write TAFs for their flight destinations and assist with flight planning. You could work with air quality - not the most exciting field in my opinion. There's always broadcasting, but plan on moving around a lot as station managers change.
I know a good bit about different kinds of meteorological jobs. Feel free to message me.

I'm considering working for the NWS-Norman, SPC, and/or KWTV.
NWS-Norman for forecasting and storm spotting, SPC for model guidance, and KWTV as a storm chaser.
I have HAM Radio with me too.

I'm anti-alcoholic like the rest of my family, so that is fine with me.
I do have a mindset that this should be treated with respect and with the utmost care, this is not the place for fun. It's serious business.
My High School is going to miss me when I graduate High School this May.

Well, maybe so, I haven't thought of that lately.
I would help forecast the track of the Tropical Cyclones.

I believe that when you apply for the NWS you get placed wherever they need a forecaster to star with. I don't think you can pick a location until later on after you have some seniority. In either case, I'd suggest traveling there to speak with the forecasters about their job and how to get a position there.

I would try to speak to them about it when I have the chance to go there myself.
