The heck with Dr. McCoy!

Red Alert! I can't take any more!

Seriously, NHC must be a bit bored with Gabrielle. This disturbance is one to watch, certainly, but it's nowhere near developing.

Guess Vortex was right.

How much strength will it have with so much going on around it?

Please don't tell me you think 90L (in the GOM) has a better chance of developing.

Hmm very possibly a florida hit with minimal land interactions beforehand to weaken it.

Definitely the biggest USA threat of the three invests so far - unless 90 unexpectedly bombs out!

I would go as far to say this system has the potential to be the most interesting of the entitre 07 season so far.

This is not an official forecast.

I think the synoptic setup (steering wise) is interesting. The upper trough to the north may induce a temporary weakness, but I expect the upper ridge to build westward. The weak upper low over FL appears to be degenerating into a broad mid-level disturbance, and the s/w approaching Gabrielle doesn't appear too strong, IMO. There is a nice H5 ridge over TX, and the operational GFS/Euro have been advertising low-level easterlies expanding westward. I would tend to lean toward a WNW track for 92L.

You can see the upper-air pattern nicely on this WV loop:

91L and 92L will affect each other if they form.

Maybe waiting for one last chance at dissipation before focusing on it?

Looks like a developing disturbance by eye.

Of all 3 invests, this one does give the biggest threat to the US mainland assuming that 90L isn't going to do much. It is looking more impressive as the day goes on and I wouldn't be surprised to see this become a depression by 11am tomorrow.

I would be shocked if this was a depression at 11am tomorrow. Systems just don't develop that fast.
