Correct me if I'm wrong, but that's where I'd place Flossie's centre right now.

I think you're right. Now that you point it out it's easier to see. Still, she is a goner!!! :D :D :D :D

Interestingly enough the EPAC has been kind of disappointing, while the Atlantic begins to show signs that this year it will lead.

500 AM HST THU AUG 16 2007

AT 500 AM HST...1500Z...THE CENTER OF TROPICAL DEPRESSION FLOSSIE WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 17.1 NORTH...LONGITUDE 162.1 WEST OR ABOUT 400 MILES SOUTHWEST OF HONOLULU.

THE DEPRESSION IS MOVING TOWARD THE WEST NEAR 14 MPH

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 30 MPH...WITH HIGHER GUSTS. FLOSSIE WILL CONTINUE TO WEAKEN INTO A REMNANT LOW WITHIN THE NEXT 12 HOURS.

ESTIMATED MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE IS 1010 MB...29.83 INCHES.

REPEATING THE 500 AM HST POSITION...17.1 N...162.1 W. MOVEMENT
TOWARD...WEST NEAR 14 MPH. MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS...30 MPH.
MINIMUM CENTRAL PRESSURE...1010 MB.
