Yeah EWG - it's really bad anywhere along and inside the loop. 288 is closed at 610; flooding in the Med Center; the toy train stopped running; 59 feeder roads under water; sections of Richmond under water....

the band has reached me now...definitely the worst one of the storm so far. Lots of heavy rain and gusty winds.

Yes, because it is relevant to all 3 threads.
I think there is too much hype going on (made by amateurs) right now so I am using information from pro-mets on this board to allow people to calm down.

FWIW Mike isn't a pro met....

But he is a very well-respected amateur, like many others who post on the board.

Too early for anyone, especially those in TX, to let their guard down on Dean.

The rainfall amounts are not approaching Allison like numbers, but I tell you some of the images of the highways are becoming reminiscent of Allison.

288 is a mess....

What is a bit troubling and I'm not sure if it will play out -

If you remember yesterday, there was an impressive amount of convection that tailed behind Erin over the Yucatan and into the GOM. Today you can see that same tail now encroaching on the mid and upper Texas coast. Not sure if this pattern will follow the remnants of Erin as she continues to move into west Texas, but something to keep an eye on.

TD Erin kinda reminds me of TS Allison. Looks like more rain, especially at night with all that tropical moisture.
