Nothing to be concerned about here as this area will slowly drift on land before ever having a chance.Look towards the eastern atlantic next week for development.Adrian

Well I posted earlier this morning that I thought that we would have a depression in the BOC by tonight. Strange that the very last NHC Outlook downplayed this system "no organization" and very shortly afterwards an Invest is announced. Weird. Who was that forecaster? Avila?

This area does remain rather disorganized as per the 1130 NHC discussion....Personally i dont see anything significant in the future going on in this area.

Low-level steering is WNW:

Doesn't look like this will have time to get organized before drifting onshore.

You saw it first at that overnight time in the BOC Convection thread.

Bre,it is moving slowly WNW to NW but being so close to the coast,it has little time to develop into a TD.The only way it goes ahead and develop is if it is stationary.

Some of us noticed yesterday afternoon the turning at the surface, so I was really suprised at Avilas 10 pm Tropical weather outlook. That being said. It really is close to land. It is something interesting to follow though. On another topic, The area in the southern carribean sea looks pretty impressive this afternoon, although no real signs of surface circulation yet.

Yep, I just pointed that area out in So Carrib in the regualr forum. I'm shcoked more people aren't posting there. It looks like it should be an invest already and has had off and on model support with better long term potential..
