I believe the NOAA flights were cancelled yesterday. The plane this morning was supposed to be there until 12z today:

Are you sure they will fly? Felix will be on land at that time - further south of the forecasted position.

The 5th is actually tomorrow, and that was supposed to be the pre-second lanfall flight . . . and since it doesn't exactly appear there will be a second landfall, I doubt any more recon will be flown . . . unless, of course, it comes back out over water.

No planes flying around at the moment gave me some time to improve the GoogleEarth file.
Now you can click on a plane icon to get all detailed info on the observation.

The latest flight to Felix will be on the server till the new flight tomorrow towards Invest99L.
Because the new GE-file is larger then the old ones, I hope the server can handle all well in real time. We'll see.

If Felix somehow goes back over water (either deflected north into the Caribbean, or survives to the Pacific) will they fly back into him?

If it's a land threat, potentially, but that's highly unlikely. Pacific is definitely more likely but it'll probably head away from land if it makes it there.

it depends on the location of the system.... we may, but that's solely up to the discretion of CARCAH.
