Well it took TD 10 to make landfall in the Panhandle for the flow behind it to bring much needed rain to SE Florida this evening. The most that we received from the whole episode.

Go figure!

Oh, one last thing.
This morning Derek forecasted landfall in the Panhandle with a North track.
Many laughed at him when the NHC had the track well west of there.

NICE JOB DEREK!!!

I think that rain is from the Carib system.

Yes, the rain is from the jet max coming into florida. That moisture is from the carrib. system. (go see WXMAN's) post about it!

My bad.
Local Met said that the complex broad circulation around TD10 mwas bringing up mositure from the south.

If wxman was saying that this rain from the south is independent of TD10 then I was wrong.,

Either way, it is welcome here!

EDIT:
On second thought; this is from the Miami AFD:
Focus then turns to large area of convection over the Florida
Straits and Cuba...and water vapor imagery indicates that this
convection is associated with a middle-level moisture surge moving
north in between the large upper level circulation in the northern
Gulf associated with dew point 10...and an upper ridge over the northwest
Caribbean.

So maybe indirectly TD 10 has enhanced the flow to get the rain here?

Not season cancel, with a cool phase ENSO, but a season week or two break until the October Caribbean storm that usually threatens the Eastern or Central Gulf in cool ENSO seasons, if I had to guess.

The hamsters running on the little wheels in the S2K server get a week or two off to rest up for the October encore to Hurricane Season 2007.

IMHO.

If there's anybody on the boards at this hour who might know exactly where are the remnants of TD 10 located as of a little after 1:00 a.m., CDT this morning?

Just north of Mobile....circulation is still easy to find on radar.

Thanks for the info and the NWS radar link. Is there a chance that later today I can expect to receive some of the weather associated with the remnants of TD 10 as it makes it's way north of my area; Biloxi, Mississippi or will what's left of TD 10 be fizzled out by the time it reaches my area? There's no mention in any of my local weather forecasts about my area expecting rain or squally(sp?) weather conditions later today.
