No, 92L is moving into the NW Caribbean. The area north of PR is separate. Should be 93L.

Is 92L the little swirl in the keys? That looks like it might have half a chance if it makes it into the NW Carib where the air is more moist.

No, the little swirl in the keys is one of three such eddies north of 92L. There isn't much organized convection with 92L now, but it's moving SW into the NW Caribbean.

84 73 70 N8 29.89F

That observation is from the Luis Muñoz Marin Airport.Winds are from the north and pressure is falling.Something is going on north of Puerto Rico.57 I agree that a new invest tag has to occur with this area.

The eddy in the Keys has a nice look to it on the high res satellite http://wwwghcc.msfc.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/get-goes?satellite=GOES-E%20HURRICANE&lat=24&lon=-80&zoom=1&type=Animation&info=vis there is even convection over it, as opposed to 90L.

Looking at the visable loop it is hard to believe that nothing is going at the surface.

Looks like there is some hint of circulation north of Puerto Rico on the radar loop.

GFSZ run...

That is a truly odd set-up this model seems to see -- if I'm reading it correctly, it forecasts a series of three lows, with 92L heading WSW, 93L staying weak, drifting toward FL and then kind of fading out and/or merging with what might become 94 later ... and 94 eventually deepens and heads out to sea to the NE. Weird.

No, it's gotta be Kristy. Ever since she shattered the space-time continum by traveling nowhere at -99mph, she's been returning every so often...

CMC at 12z forms system north of puerto rico into a strong hurricane than takes it out to sea.

That must be cool, but this season is infamous for disilussions and wind shear everywhere

Any one gonna make a thread about the new area north of the leeward islands so we won't have to talk about it in 92L's thread.

According to everybody's favorite shear map http://cimss.ssec.wisc.edu/tropic/real- ... g8shr.html the shear looks to have up and died to the north and northwest of Puerto Rico in the last 3 hours.

Insert shear map disclaimer.
