TROPICAL WEATHER OUTLOOK FOR NORTH INDIAN OCEAN (BAY OF BENGAL AND ARABIAN SEA ) VALID FOR NEXT 24 HOURS ISSUED AT 0600 UTC OF 30 OCTOBER, 2007 BASED ON CHARTS OF 0300 UTC OF 30 OCTOBER, 2007(.)

(A) THE DEEP DEPRESSION OVER SOUTHEAST ARABIAN SEA REMAINED PRACTICALLY STATIONARY AND LAY CENTRED AT 0300 UTC OF TODAY, THE 30 OCTOBER, 2007 NEAR LAT 11.5oN AND LONG 65.5oE. IT IS LIKELY TO INTENSIFY FURTHER AND MOVE SLOWLY IN A WEST- NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION. SEA CONDITION WILL BE ROUGH TO VERY ROUGH AROUND THE SYSTEM CENTRE.
IN ASSOCIATON WITH THE SYSTEM, BROKEN INTENSE TO VERY INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ARE SEEN BETWEEN LAT. 8.5oN TO 13.5oN AND LONG. 60.0oE TO 65.5oE. SCATTERED MODERATE TO INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ALSO SEEN IN REMAINING PART OF SOUTH ARABIAN SEA.

(B) THE WELLVMARKED LOW PRESSURE AREA OVER WEST CENTRAL BAY AND ADJOINING SOUTHWEST BAY OF BENGAL PERSISTS.
SCATTERED MODERATE TO INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ARE SEEN OVER SOME PARTS OF WESTCENTRAL AND ADJOINING SOUTWEST BAY OF BENGAL IN ASSOCIATON WITH THE SYSTEM.
SCATTERED MODERATE TO INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ALSO SEEN OVER SOME PARTS OF SOUTHEAST BAY OF BENGAL AND ANDAMAN SEA.

IT IS LIKELY TO WEAKEN SLOWLY AND MOVE IN A WEST- NORTHWESTERLY DIRECTION AND CROSS NORTH YEMEN-SOUTH OMAN COAST BETWEEN LONG. 52.0oE AND 54.0oE BY 1800 UTC OF 2ND NOVEMBER 2007, SEA CONDITION WILL BE ROUGH TO VERY ROUGH.



BROKEN INTENSE TO VERY INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ARE SEEN BETWEEN LAT 12.0 oN AND 17.5oN AND LONG 52.0oE AND 57.0oE IN ASSOCIATON WITH THE SYSTEM.



(B) SCATTERED TO BROKEN LOW/MEDIUM CLOUDS WITH EMBEDDED ISOLATED WEAK TO MODERATE CONVECTION ARE SEEN OVER EASTCENTRAL AND SOUTHWEST BAY OF BENGAL.

BROKEN INTENSE CONVECTIVE CLOUDS ARE SEEN BETWEEN LAT 12.50N AND 17.50N AND LONG 51.50E AND 55.00E IN ASSOCIATON WITH THE SYSTEM. BROKEN LOW AND MEDIUM CLOUDS WITH EMBEDDED ISOLATED WEAK TO MODERATE CONVECTION ARE SEEN OVER REST ARABIAN SEA NORTH OF LAT 10.00N AND WEST OF LONG 60.00 E AND GULF OF OMAN.

MORNING’S DEPRESSION OVER WEST CENTRAL ARABIAN SEA FURTHER WEAKENED INTO A WELL MARKED LOW PRESSURE AREA AND LAY AT 1200 UTC OF TODAY, THE 02 NOVEMBER 2007 OVER WEST CENTRAL AND ADJOINING SOUTHWEST ARABIAN SEA.

SCATTERED TO BROKEN LOW/MEDIUM CLOUDS WITH EMBEDDED MODERATE TO INTENSE CONVECTION ARE SEEN OVER THE AREA BETWEEN LAT 13.5 oN TO 21.0oN AND LONG 52.0oE TO 56.0oE.
