Concern For S2K Member's Status

I miss this place. I need to come back and visit (and participate) again. We'll see how things unfold.

But today, I want to express concerns over a longtime friend from Cincinnati who, according to a report I've read from one of her daughters, has suffered a brain aneurysm this weekend. I consider her daughter a reliable source, and her mom, Miss Mary was how I remember her, is in some medical trouble. Perhaps she has a different username these days.

For those who know her, please stop for a second and say a prayer and send good thoughts her way and to her family.

She's always been a wonderful person with absolute consistency. She and her family deserves our warm thoughts.

Thanks for remembering. And know that I've always considered S2K as among my fondest of memories.

Steve, Thanks for dropping by and letting us know about this. Miss Mary hasn't been on in a long time and I don't find her screen name in the database. However I do remember her. If you do have more contact please pass along that I am praying for her.

An update on Mary as of 8/14.

She is still hospitalized and unable to speak. More alert and looking around. Squeezing family members' hands. Positive stuff. A long road ahead of her, but Miss Mary is finding her way back. And we should be very thankful for that. I know her family is.

A mid-September update on Miss Mary (Bosken). She remains in rehabilitation at the Drake facility in Cincinnati. She continues to improve slowly. The address is c/o Mary Bosken, 8407 Brownsboro Place, Cincinnati, Ohio 45255. Thanks for all your concerns, thoughts, and prayers.

Miss Mary passed away today. She wan't very active over the last few years, but she will definitely be missed. She was one of those that I call "good people". Prayers and condolences to her family.

Mary Bosken was the quiet unassuming woman who suggested I find my way over to S2K after the TWC Boards had a meltdown. Mary was also the first person to alert me to turn on the TV on 9/11/2001. Our world changed so much that day. And so here we are, mourning the loss of a gentle soul who has come and gone in our lives. She leaves behind her husband, two daughters, and a whole bunch of pups that she nurtured and loved in recent years. People like Mary have a way of leaving you better than you were before she entered the chat room, the boards, or a conversation of any kind. Never a take away. She among so many reminds me that S2K has nurtured far more relationships and friendships that have ever been severed. And for that, I am humbled that she's the one who asked me here perhaps fifteen years ago now. If you remember nothing else, please know that fellow camrades on a distant cyberplanet are, or can be, very real friends. Never take them for granted. Be well, my friends.

I met "Miss Mary" on TWC and we moved to Storm 2K together like two roommates. She was kind, loving and just a great friend that I never had the pleasure of meeting. We sat together in this forum and drank our Earl Grey tea and just chatted. I think Mary and I were "weather groupies".......we followed our interesting weather friends. Sending thoughts and prayers to her family. We will miss this wonderful woman who touched so many lives. We were blessed to have this virtual friend.

I met Mary here on S2K and we became instant friends. We talked just about everyday and liked to say we were sisters from different mothers. She was a sweet, unassuming person who had compassion for everyone. We loved talking about animals, work, books and movies, especially The Hunger Games. This may sound strange to some but I was waiting to talk to her about the final movie, Mary was crazy about The Hunger Games. She was a wonderful wife and mother and was sooo proud of her children. I'm still in disbelief our sweet friend is gone, but it gives me comfort, as I know it does us all, to know she is in Heaven now and will not suffer anymore. I will miss you so much my sweet friend.
