Homemade Potatoes Au Grautin

A friend of mine from Honeygrove, TX sent me this recipe on Christmas Day 2003.

Potatoes Au Grautin

Ingredients:
2 cups sliced potatoes
2 tbsp. butter
6 tbsp. flour
1 C or 2 C milk
1 C Cream (Optional with 1 C of milk)
1 C chicken broth
Salt & Pepper or various seasonings to taste.

Cook potatoes in boiling salted water until partially done; drain. Place in Casserole dish. Melt butter in saucepan; add flour; mix well. Add milk, cream (if necessary), and chicken broth, cook stir until thickened. Add salt & pepper or various seasonings, pour over potatoes and bake at 350°F until golden brown. Serve.

This recipe looks absolutely scrumpdelicious!! :D I copied/pasted it into an email to myself and then printed it for my Mom to make sometime! :D :wink:
