The earthquake swarm in Laguna Verde has diminished and no more quakes related to that swarm have been sensible since the last one I posted. On the other hand the subduction zone caused a quake in Guatemala this morning but it was felt in El Salvador too. The parameters:

A moderate erathquake occurred tonight in El Salvador, this time the origin of the quake was a local fault line in weatern El Salvador and not the subduction zone. It's interesting to note that this earthquake was strong enough to be felt in San Salvador and that's unusual as inland quakes are felt only in the areas near the epicenter. No damages are repoted yet but the intensity was fairly high near the epicenter.

Five earthquakes occurred in San Salvador metropolitan area in less than 12 hours, the epicenter was Cerro San Jacinto which is in fact an old extinct volcano just east of San Salvador. The quakes occurred in one of the many fault lines that cross San Salvador and as usual with this kind of quakes they have been very shallow but they are felt only in the areas near the epicenter. Thankfully no damages have been reported. The image below shows with red stars the location of the quakes, and below the image is the list of the earthquakes:
