A Geomagnetic Storm is in progress at this time. Levels of activitry are marginally high enough that observers in the northern tier of states have a chance for visual aurora during what hours of darkness they may have. A dark sky location will be essential.

I'm ALWAYS to far South to see any of these. AARRGGHH!! Besides the city lights here in Houston would wash it all out anyway.
