Comet C/2012 S1 (ISON)

#1 Postby crownweather » Thu Sep 27, 2012 4:29 am

Didn't see this posted yet on the Astronomy part of the board. Last weekend a new comet was discovered which has the potential to become quite bright during November and December of 2013. Besides being very interested in tropical storms, hurricanes and winter storms, my other interest is in comet observations, so this has me pretty excited. Additionally, 2013 may actually have two potentially bright comets with Comet C/2011 L4 (PanSTARRS) possibly reaching -1 magnitude in March.
