This is a positional chart of the approximate path of the New Moon path.
This is a better map of this type than I have been making.
I can add some SST also. I will try to capture an recent one.

Here I have applied the Sea Surface Temperature raster under the previous Map.
If you scroll the image to day 5 which is the dot next to the 4, it seems like the
average tidal pull is going to be warmer than it has been.

This rain fall monitor may have recorded the Saharan Dust Patch between 7-28-2013 to 7-30-2013 originating just North of Australia.

This is a weekly comparison of SST's over the pass of the New Moon.
It seems as the global heat balance has stayed the same.
The Eastern Pacific, and the Gulf of Mexico has warmed, while the Indian Ocean has cooled.

September New Moon Alignment 09-05-2013 10:46:30.
The whole New Moon Phase is over land again. That is not good for evaporation.
Note the cooling Southwest of Africa.
