No, I think it's a spot-on reading, judging for other reports. However, I think the wind speed (especially with it being 250°) is being influenced more by the tropical easterly jet rather than 91A.

A second storm right after the first. Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal are hot spots.

It looks ok right now, got some good deep convection with it and that ship report is very interesting as well even if the jet is playing a role in that windspeed.

Checking out some observations in the area (I've posted a surface chart below)...

The only ob of great interest comes from a Dutch Cargo Ship, "Nedlloyd Mercator" (PCIM) at 00Z.

PCIM was about 22mi N of 91A at report time. They reported SE winds (140°) at 21KT. 10km visibility with lightning (rainshowers were observed since their last observation, but was not present at time of observation). Temperature was 28.8°C with a dewpoint of 25.7°C. Pressure was 993.3mb. The pressure has dropped, but slightly rebounded since last observation with a net loss of 0.5mb. Clouds were 3/8 stratus fractus, 8/8 altocumulus of a chaotic sky.

A buoy about 237mi SW of the center reported a 06Z pressure of 998.8 hPa... FWIW. The ship from my last report (PCIM) is only reporting every 12 hours... so nothing from them until 12Z.
