With the huge dome of high pressure over Texas, it would be funny if she pulled an Ivan and got wrapped around it, through the plains into the SE and back into the Gulf of Mexico. Say, there's a thought.

Dolly kept that spin all the way out to El Paso where it caused flooding.

A good example of how the dry SW gets a monsoon flow from the east in summer.

1.75 inches of rain last two days at ELP. (25.4 mm/inch).


That is a lot of rain for what is part of the Chihuahua Desert.

Area AFDs say Dolly finally being somewhat sheared between the two ridges, and circulation no longer well defined.
