Quoting?

#1 Postby janswizard » Fri Sep 12, 2003 9:32 am

Can someone explain how to use the "quote" feature? If you only wanted a portion of what someone said, would it be done any different?

Hello Jan. This is how you make quotes here on Storm2K...

[ quote="ColdFront77"]text[/ quote] -- without the space in front of "quote," of course.

If you don't want a member name (including yourself indicated) then use [ quote]text[/ quote] -- again without spaces.

Hmmm...I've done that but it never makes the *box*?

So...you click on quote on the post you want to quote...it's on the post you want to make...THEN you edit the HTML code like that?
Sorry for being dense here, I've just not been on a board with a quote feature like this one. (It would be great to have directions on quoting in the FAQ)

After you click quote... you type your response right under the members post above. Then click SUBMIT like you normally do. :D

You can also just copy and past the text you want to quote into the post box, then highlight the text and hit the quote button up top :-)
