Bug when trying to log in from a comp other than home

#1 Postby weatherlover427 » Fri Feb 21, 2003 10:44 pm

When I try to log in from a computer other than my one here at home, the site will not let me in even if I enter my correct username and password. I tried it at 2 different places and it didn't work at either of them. :( Is there anything that can be done about this? Thanks. ;)

I login from work everyday and never had a problem. What kind of error message do you get? I know 4 or 5 other people that do the same thing...

I don't get anything ... when I click Login at the top nothing happens, it just goes back to the original screen and if I enter my s/n and password at the bottom, the same thing happens. The only way I can get in is with the cookie I have on my hard drive. :(

Johsua I had the same problems here at my home computer, I use AOL and I hate cookies lol. The only way I got it to work right was to delete all cookies. After I did that I had no problems I logged in and checked the box to remember my password

Does this site need to accept cookies to let you in?

This site does use cookies. I don't know if cookies must be enabled in order for you to get access. I'll see if I can find out though and let you know! :-)

Some PC's such as work PC's are set up (maybe with firewalls?) which automatically block out cookies - (primarily to prevent goofing off at the work PC).

I still can't log in with my Internet Explorer browser. Can an admin see if I'm even entering the right password and PM it to me?

If you go to the login screen and use the I forgot my password link, the board will e-mail you your password. We can't look at the passwords because they are encrypted in the database.

I hope the password will be sent to the right address, I've had my Juno account closed since I signed up here.
