I NEED HELP!

#1 Postby wx247 » Sat May 31, 2003 5:01 pm

Don't go there... I know what ya'll are thinking.

Everytime I open Internet Explorer...in just a few seconds a box pops up and says: "Internet Explorer has created error KERNEL322.DSL" and when I click okay it closes the window. This is getting annoying. I have been restarting my computer all day and this is the first time I have been able to stay on for one or two screens.

What can I do to fix this? HELP!

Garrett :multi:

Sounds to me like you might want to go the Microsoft updates site, and look for a patch.

I downloaded Netscape and it works just fine. :) I may stick with it. I seem to like it better.

If you want to try IE again just uninstall IE (now that you have Netscape) and reinstall it. There are a lot of internet sites that just don't play well with Netscape. I was a Netscape fan for years but finally got tired of fighting. :-(

AOL bought Netscape awhile ago. AOL then filed suit against Microsoft for unfair competitive business practises against Netscape. The two have settled the suit (AOL won) and now has the right to use Microsoft products. TRhis doesn't mean they have to but it wouldn't make much sense to keep developing the Netscape browser just to give it away. Software development is a costly undertaking. We'll have to see how long Netscape survives.... :-(

Garrett...I get those annoying boxes also. But since I ran a cleaning CD...I haven't had that problem in a while.
