Major problem

#1 Postby Derek Ortt » Tue Jan 22, 2008 10:34 am

I am getting a major problem, while trying to log in via my laptop. The error I am getting is that the domain is parked or needs to be renewed. On my LINUX workstation, it is fine

I was gettting this last nite/this AM at home on my desktip (runs XP)I'm ok here at work, I thought maybe it was just me. I'll have to try it later when I'm home again. I got the "parked domain/domain expired" message.

To post I have to use the IP address then it pops up. I then log in go to my messages before it has a chance to go to that domain page.I then select board index, then I could post. Theirs got to be a better way.

Thanks, I'll try it again when I get home.

Just for giggles, any of you folks have comcast? Maybe Comcast did something, I can get on fine at both jobs.

Wow, I got a PM from Boca about the problem, got in fine around 3:30 PM and then after 6:00 I get the message:
"“This domain is parked, pending renewal, or has expired.
Please contact the domain provider with questions. "

Now, suddenly I can get through intermittently.

Hope the problem is solved soon!

I feard S2K had died

From CajunMama in Off Topic
What happened according to mfdolphin in chat was "Our domain name was registered until 2009 however our registrar had set the domain to expire Jan 21 2008 instead of 2009" It's been fixed and everyone should slowly be able to log on.

Also from mfdolphin in chat: major 1st tier ISPs (AOL,Timewarner,Comcast, AT&T,etc) it should propagate within 6 hours, the rest will come online within 24 hrs

I'm here by using the regular link!

mfdolphin also had us do a dns flush. On your taskbar...

click on start
click on run
type in cmd
when the black window comes up type ipconfig /flushdns
there's a space between ipconfig and /flushdns
