Lol its hard not to be when everyone throws out the a-word every time theres a major with a big eye. This one was hardly even a cat2 at the time it started looking this way, and I tend to think of more Daniel or Isabel type situations when it comes to annularity. Nonetheless, looking back on previous images of this storm, it would be hard to say it isn't annular.

Already looks north of the Aleutians, eastern Russia in its path next.

Well, even the JTWC mentioned that it's annular characteristics were going to isolate Vamco from the unfavorable environment making the weakening trend slower.
