Winds are increasing here in AUS as well with sporadic showers. I wonder if we'll see some of that 50 mph stuff y'all saw in San Antonio.

Great. Now don't be all over every storm east of 20W with whether or not it's going to hit Texas in 3 weeks. :)

Here the winds were gusting to 60mph and a few branches and even a tree fell down outside my dorm amazing to say the least that this storm was able to maintain its strength this far inland.

Wow, a 56 knot (64mph) peak gust in San Antonio is impressive! This storm is keeping up it's strength amazingly well for being so far inland!

Still nothing can compare to "Tropical Storm" Erin over Oklahoma on August 18-19 2007.

A lot of things can compare to that, but maybe not tropical things in Oklahoma. ;)

FWIW, there was a poster who tipped off that the interesting thing about post-landfall Hermine would be how the structure looked today. The other "minor" detail was that the models appeared far too dry with a system which was increasingly tapping into moisture and bringing it in. Hey, nobody's perfect but there are some damn good posters on this site if you know who to read. 8-)

Ya I definitely meant in regards to tropical systems in Oklahoma. That was a crazy event. :)

I completely agree about the quality of posters on S2K, its an awesome site!
