I know it did damage elsewhere, but it did us a lot of good. We've been in near drought conditions, shrubs and plants dying. Couldn't keep enough water on them. Down 10" or more for the year.

Been raining here on and off for most of 16-18 hours now, mostly a gentle soaking rain with periods a bit heavier. Not hard enough for big run-offs, just the kind that settles deep in the soil. As dry as we were, the ground is sucking this up like a sponge.

Looks like we may have a few more hours yet too with the other front being sucked in behind.

Dallas got hit by an F2 tornado as a result of Hermine!
