I'm glad to see the Global Hawk will be up (how about the fact it'll be flying a 24 hour long mission?!). Why can't we get a bunch more of them, and fly them at penetration level for around the clock surveillance of tropical cyclones (when a Hurricane Hunter aircraft is not able to fly through them due to having to go back for lack of fuel, and the next flight isn't for another 12 hours)?

Would be awesome to have data for every up and down intensity wise. One could also fly constant G-IV like flights and drop sondes for the models.

The Global Hawk flight will take some time reach the Caribbean from CA and it is my understanding that it will only spend 4-6 hours over 92L.

From California? I thought they would takeoff from a more closer base.
