Had our fairly typical afternoon t-storms this evening, nothing out of the ordinary other than northerly winds. Its been calm here in Broward besides that.

The poorly-defined center is definitely north of Grand Bahama Island and moving northward. Convection is building westward due to northeasterly wind shear over Emily. At least Emily is producing a little rain over SE FL. I don't expect much rain impact north of Okeechobee, though.

Wxman I understand what you're saying about the northeast shear producing convection further west. I would assume that as Emily begins to be scooped north and east away from Fl that the convection further west will die. My question is, is there a chance that some of this leftover energy from Emily might get into the SE GOM near the keys and sort of be left stranded there?
