Well, naked swirl Karen is raining pretty good on my house at this very minute. Light winds, maybe 10-15 mph. Time to go searching for my umbrella.

I can't forecast the weather, and you wouldn't want me to!

Same here in Denham Springs. Breezy with periods of brief, heavy showers mixed with lighter rains.

Ha, she's trying to fire up some new convection just east of the center, and appears to now be moving almost due north... my humble opinion... :)

Well it would SEEM that if /when she gets back on the Eside 90' she may hold onto some convection;not holding my breath.

Well, NHC has shifted the track a bit north.....I guess Karen has decided to ride highway 90 to Florida, gonna take the scenic route! Small chance it remain a TS until the coast......MGC

Yep and it continues to fire off, not sure if it is going to last ... might run into LA coast before she turns which might just kill her for good... needs to start the NE turn sooner rather than later... got to give it to her.. she was/is a fighter against some killer shear and dry air.. we just might get a few squalls out this yet Jav... :)

Ha, I live on Hwy 90... wonder if she is just wanting to be part of the cruising scene?

Only chance she has would be if she stalled her northern motion and drifted eastward remaining over the gulf. Convection finally getting back over the sheared LLC but at 1007 MB any reintensification should be slow.

With the new convection near the center is has soon reconnected a layer of convection from the center to the bigger blob of convection to the SE, if that mean something.

Hmmm! Looks like a little flare up around the center. We will see if this trend continues. Water vapor imagery shows that the shear has decreased some but it has to fight a lot of dry air.

Does she have one more fight left in her? Deep convection made if back to the center. Can't believe it has yet to turn. Karen is begging to get from dry air.

Looks like she is slowing down and may have stalled. The sharp ENE or E turn should be coming soon. Convection is starting to build on the eastern side of the center. Maybe she makes a little comeback...?

Latest VIS loop showing the movement has stalled - convection is getting going near the center...if it can start to wrap around, we could see some strengthening.

I can multi-task both.. and the convection continues to build.. also looks like her forward motion has slowed down... my humble opinion... I just like seeing storms make everyone look foolish, including me... :)

why are people so excited about a mere weak tropical storm?

over here, we get bored of these as we are used to strong typhoons regularly...
