Convection really getting go again. Flossie refuses to go away! I love tracking this storm! Let's hope damage from Flossie is minor.

Chances that the CPHC upgrades this to a t storm again?

Should never have been downgraded in my opinion. There is a huge tstorm cluster I would expect to rotate into Oahu in a few hours.

I do not expect an upgrade. To be honest, the storm should have been downgraded this morning. There has not been sustained TS winds reported anywhere other than the usual windy spots (windy on a daily basis due to terrain).

I just find the timing on the downgrade a little odd. I think it was a TD at 0z.

Do you all think Flossie will stay a TC till it exits the island group?

Wow, for real? That's crazy. Like someone who has never seen snow seeing it for the first time :cheesy: . What about cloud-to-cloud lightning or sheet lightning? Thunder?

Jim Cantore (TWC) was on Hilo Beach last evening and made the most of the situation (lol) - as he said, rainfall in certain parts of Hawaii doesn't happen very often so to have a system like this isn't a bad thing...

Last evening I was hoping to talk to some of our regular IRLP ham radio friends who live on Hawaii but they weren't on the air...
