The NHC has done a great job on this from the very start overall. They haven't been perfect but they got the job done and held steady with their forecasts as they mostly do.

In general we can avoid bickering by posting about the storms and not the posters, don't have to agree with them. Makes for a much better discussion and flow and emphasis on disclaimer. Very important for the casual reader.

I wasn't singling you out Nederlander.

If someone an issue with a post use the red exclam to report the post so we can look at it and move it if needed. The constant back and forth doesn't do anyone any good. Posters are generally free to post their opinions within reason, making outlandish comments or comments that can be interpreted as trolling are not allowed. Might be a good time to review the S2K rules: viewtopic.php?f=37&t=87189

Thanks.

Wait for the rains to end in the Islands. They don't need to get caught by a flash flood because they thought it was safe to go out.

Thank you ozonepete
Even an open wave can cause flooding in our islands

Swirl looks like it's well south of the convection at this point, probably Danny's last chance to keep itself going if it can pull the swirl north and close back off in the next few hours, otherwise what little circulation remains might be broken apart by the islands, as small as it is.

Shear is relaxing some over the system. You don't have the 30kt barbs you had four hours ago. May have another window soon to blow up convection. The convection needs to keep pulsing.

Shear definitely dropping now and unsurprisingly some hot towers are popping again. You can see it in the cloud motion on satellite, especially on RGB. Let's see how much Danny responds.

Was hoping for some good rains for the islands from Danny - they certainly need them.

Using this loop, you can see the LLC very easily (look a little above 15N and 59W), the new convection blowup is pretty far off to the NE:

That naked swirl is irrelevant now imo. Follow the convection.

Based on cloud motion, it looks like the low is closing back off--I sat my mouse in one spot for a few times through the loop and some of them are back from the west again.

A couple of tiny specks of convection are appearing near the low level "center". Let's see if it starts popping again in the next few frames.

Anyone notice what the two blow ups of convection look like. He is telling us he has.... and he will never die lol. This storm is at the very least interesting and will be studied I am sure.
