that's a hurricane intensity system, without doubt, as I said in the thread I started at the same time as yours

There is a well defined eye. I have also checked on meteosat7 imagery

Luis, did you find that image above on a website? I haven't been able to find a good Himawari-8 website, or at least one that is easy to navigate.

Latest satellite imagery and ASCAT indicate that Emeraude may be barely hanging on to TC status this morning. An ASCAT pass overnight indicated 40kt winds. Looks like it fell apart after that pass.

Shear + dryair tamed the system down rapidly , actually starting to look a better on the past few NOOA satellite pictures
JTWC is forecasting the now TS to regain hurricane status on the cimss track.

This thing dissipated several hours ago

ASCAT shows a poorly defined circulation and no winds above 25 to 30 kts. This is conclusively not a cyclone
