Wow this came out of nowhere. Last night I just saw a low in the Gulf. This is what happens when I turn a blind eye for one day.

And it seems despite Wxman's objections, this is indeed a TS based on reports.

Does anyone know the record for the shortest lived TS to make landfall?

Some rain bands beginning to form in the NE quad over EC FL near Orlando area. Winds very light in the area however.

Edit, light rain falling here in Orlando, breeze picking up form the ENE, still only about 10mph at this time.

Emily chugging along at 10 mph right along or just south of the I-4 corridor. Holding its own fairly well. Should be off Cape Canaveral by 9:00 or 10:00 tonight or so.

First E storm in July since 05. Props to the NAM for picking this out when the larger-scale models didn't show much.

Why no models thread? Is it because it's set in stone. Btw, national news stated earlier that Emily would be no threat to the Carolinas.

We love that kind of statement. On the other hand after last years fiasco with Matthew I'll breathe a sigh of relief only after it passes.

If convection continues moving and building away from the center to the east. Would not be surprised to see the circ elongate then redevelop offshore east coast rather than move intact across land.
