Aric.... How have you been?

Here in Key West we have falling pressure with gusty winds...hot or miss squalls. I expect it to deteriorate over night.

Channel 12 in Montgomery said models shifted east again now going from Opp to Montgomery AL near the middle of the state after landfall. NHC could follow?

It has been barely moving today.. just being pulled left and right by the convection still is partially exposed on 1k visible

I have it at 23.7N 84.8W

There is definitely movement when I loop the floater. Just 6 hours ago it was near the Western tip of Cuba. Also see maybe a slight east of north motion:

So far the highest gust recorded was 29.9kts. Unfortunately the Sand Key station is only reporting pressure....obviously higher winds 7 miles offshore.

Not as much rain as I was expecting today and some of the charter boats went out.

Im hoping it lifts out quickly tomorrow afternoon but I think we may stuck with the backside rain bands.

Just saw where the National Seashore is closing the highway between Pensacola beach and Navarre beach at 6pm tomorrow. I would expect officials to urge those camping on the beaches to find suitable shelter or get off the island. Most of them have no idea what is coming their way.
